Lloret Ladies Tournament

– Forget your siestas, folks! Barcelona's netball squads absolutely slayed the recent Lloret de Mar torneo, bringing a whole lotta fierce competition and even more legendary laughs. Massive props to our amazing torneo guru and coach, Abbi, whose killer training sessions meant we weren't just there for a holiday – we came to PLAY (and maybe win a few cheeky points!).

The sheer effort, never-say-die attitude, and epic levels of support everyone showed each other made the whole weekend pure gold. We even treated the locals to a spicy Barcelona derby on court! And when we weren't dominating the netball scene? We were living our best lives line dancing with some seriously cool abuelos before hitting up Tropics (debatably the 24th best club EVER, but hey, who's counting?!).

The final scoreboard saw Sweaty Balls smash their way to a brilliant 4th place, while the iconic Scallywags landed in 7th (and we both scooped the highly coveted "Best Vibes of the Weekend" award, obviously!).

Huge shoutout to the MVPs: for Sweaty Balls, the unstoppable defensive wall that is Charlotte and Jo N, A special shoutout also goes to the one and only Rhianon – the Swiss Army Knife of Netballers – who stepped up and played brilliantly in any position she was needed!

Hels, also gave a special mention to her standout players: "My two players of the torneo are Joanna M and Libby. IF you’re accepting three then I’ll add Anna W hehe. They all went into all the positions I asked with no hesitation and gave it 110%. This was so hard as everyone was legit so amazing, but these three just knocked it out the park.”

Fizz & Abbi also wanted to give a massive team spirit shout-out to some absolute legends: "Huge love to our super sub Becca, who stepped in like a total pro after not playing for nine weeks! Massive thanks to Cassi for making the trip and capturing all the awesome video footage. Big love to Lauren 'the legs' for keeping the banging tune suggestions coming all weekend, and our incredible support crew member Jayde for coming up for the afternoon – we LOVE you all!"

Hels continued, summing up their weekend perfectly: "Tournaments like Lloret are all about putting our training sessions into practice! Day one was all about playing together, having a laugh, and ignoring the score until the final whistle... Day two? Pure ENERGY! We even had a laugh-a-minute game playing completely opposite positions... Coming 7th with that attitude? Absolutely buzzing! For me, it was all about making sure everyone played, had a blast, and felt like part of the Scally crew!"

So yeah, Lloret de Mar? Consider yourselves officially Barcelonafied! Huge thanks to Abbi for getting us prepped and pumped.
